STEP UP - A LEAP TO FREEDOM
DOUUOD supported Step Up – A Leap Towards Freedom , a project that combined art , fashion and social commitment with the aim of enhancing the creativity of young people with experience of mental distress and contributing to their growth path.
In collaboration with the Mental Health Centre (CSM) of Faenza, the Si Stare Insieme association and with the patronage of Caritas Ravenna , the Rotary eClub Tre Castelli and other associations, four special edition t-shirts have been created, each decorated with an original design created by young artists from the CSM Day Centre .
The initiative made it possible to directly finance the activities of the Step Up project , which combined traditional therapeutic pathways with expressive , social and creative tools that were not always accessible due to budget constraints, but which proved to be fundamental for the path to treatment and self-rediscovery .
The project was born with this very purpose: to combine the clinical aspect with meaningful experiences, capable of helping young people transform hardship into a starting point for possible change .
To conclude the initiative, a special concert dedicated to Fabrizio De André covers , with a particular focus on the album La Buona Novella , was held at the Teatro Dehon in Bologna on November 20. The proceeds from the evening, which featured several musicians , were donated to support the project .

ONE HAND HELPS THE OTHER
Thanks to the “One Hand Helps the Other” project, DOUUOD raised funds to support the people and communities affected by the floods and landslides caused by the extreme weather events that occurred in Emilia-Romagna in May 2023.
By purchasing a Douuod Hope Bag , many customers contributed to providing tangible relief to flood-stricken families in need. All proceeds went directly to those who had lost everything, with the goal of restoring hope and support in this time of great emergency.
The charity bag was available in three color variations: slate black, khaki green and denim, allowing you to combine style and social commitment.
The initiative was carried out in collaboration with:

BENIN
Child trafficking is unfortunately still a widespread reality in Benin. Every year, thousands of boys and girls are sold by their parents, often forced into it by extreme poverty. In particular, trafficked girls represent a growing tragedy: many of them become Vidomegons , children relentlessly exploited as domestic workers, street vendors, or workers in inhumane conditions. Added to trafficking are tragic phenomena such as child prostitution and arranged marriages with child brides, social ills that often go unnoticed and unpunished.
To make a concrete contribution to changing this reality, DOUUOD created the DOUUODBAG , a charity bag sold in select Italian and foreign stores. All proceeds were donated to Baby nel cuore , supporting the Salesian nuns working in Benin, committed to ensuring children's protection, education, love, and dignity.
To tell and document this difficult situation, the DOUUOD team went to Benin together with photographers Jean Philipse and Karin Jonkers , creating a photographic book that bears witness with authentic images to life and the daily challenges in this part of Africa.
The publication was previewed at the Milan Book Fair and the proceeds went to the Foyer Laura Vicuña in Cotonou , to continue supporting the reception, training and protection activities of minors.

Since 1991, Linea Rosa has been a key point of reference in the province of Ravenna and throughout the country as an anti-violence center supporting women . In over thirty years of activity, the organization has welcomed and supported thousands of women victims of violence, offering a listening ear, protection, and recovery programs, and restoring dignity and freedom to those who have suffered abuse and injustice.
Aware of the importance of combining fashion with authentic values, DOUUOD has chosen to support Linea Rosa with a special project that combines fashion and social commitment . The protagonist of this initiative is the bag , the quintessential feminine symbol, reinterpreted by DOUUOD as a manifesto of freedom and courage.
Thus was born a large, elegant and versatile straw shopper , made unique by its personalization with the initial of one's name . An accessory that becomes not only an expression of personal style, but also a concrete sign of support for the fight against violence against women.
The proceeds from the sale of the solidarity shopping bags were donated entirely to Linea Rosa , helping to fund activities to support, welcome, and protect women in need. A small fashion gesture thus transformed into a great act of solidarity, capable of giving strength and new hope to those facing a difficult journey.
With this project, DOUUOD confirms its commitment to important social causes, reiterating that fashion can and must also be a tool for change, awareness, and support.

BRAZIL
Behind the colorful and vibrant beauty of Salvador de Bahia , known worldwide as a tourist destination, lies a highly complex social reality. This large Brazilian city is characterized by stark contrasts: alongside its beaches and folklore, vast urban areas are inhabited by families living in extreme poverty, often lacking basic services.
It is in this context that the Betania Onlus Foundation initiative was born, purchasing approximately three hectares of land located between two large favelas. The goal was to create a place capable of accompanying children through all stages of development, from early childhood to entering the workforce, offering education, care, and opportunities for redemption.
To support this humanitarian project, DOUUOD has once again chosen fashion as a tool of solidarity, launching a new edition of the DOUUODBAG . This special solidarity bag is available in two new colors— slate and porcelain , in addition to the classic military —becoming a symbol of social commitment and concrete participation in an important cause.
The funds raised through the sale of the DOUUODBAG made it possible to build a pediatric hospital in Salvador de Bahia , a crucial facility for the future of thousands of children. The hospital was designed with 72 beds , two operating rooms , and specialized departments such as neonatology, general medicine, infectious diseases, and surgery , ensuring quality medical care in a context that until then had lacked it.
With this project, DOUUOD confirms its commitment to promoting international charitable initiatives , demonstrating how a simple bag can become an instrument of hope and change for entire communities.

#BRINGBACKOURGIRLS
On the night between April 14 and 15, 2014 , the world was shaken by a tragedy that had great international resonance: 276 Nigerian schoolgirls , aged between 15 and 18, were abducted from a school dormitory in Chibok , in the northeastern state of Borno, Nigeria. This dramatic event immediately transcended local borders, attracting the attention of governments, the media, and global public opinion.
The case sparked global protests and campaigns, including the famous #BringBackOurGirls , which called for the young women's release. Experts and military forces from the United States and the United Kingdom were also deployed to support the search, following reports that many of the abducted girls had been sold as "brides."
In this context of humanitarian emergency, DOUUOD has chosen to make its concrete contribution by participating in the campaign with the creation of a solidarity T-shirt . All proceeds from sales were donated to the Association of Friends of the Missionaries of the Immaculate , which has been active for years in projects supporting and protecting the most vulnerable communities.
With this initiative, DOUUOD wanted to reiterate the value of fashion as a tool for awareness and solidarity , transforming an iconic garment like the t-shirt into a symbol of social commitment and closeness to a cause that has involved the entire world.
